Court Barn Museum presents a season of events, lectures and exhibitions.

All events take place at Court Barn Museum.

2010
Saturday 4 September to Sunday 26 September 2010.
Selling exhibition of furniture by Robin Furlong.
Robin Furlong trained as a cabinetmaker with Alan Peters and Martin Grierson. In 1989 he set up his own workshop in Great Wolford, where he makes furniture rich in elegant forms and beautiful craftsmanship.

Heritage Open Days
The Museum will open for free on both days as part of this nationwide event


Friday 17th - Sunday 19th September
Discover Creative Campden weekend
The second Creative Campden weekend promises to be even better than the first, with plenty to see and do.
The Hart's Archive- over 3,000 design drawings dating back to the 1880s are being transferred to a digital library. come along to Court Barn Museum and find out more.

Design for Schools- call in at the museum to find out what children are being taught and get 'hands on' yourself.

Meet the Maker: Robin Furlong
Robin will discuss his designs and explain the techniques used in creating his furniture.

Sunday 3 - Sunday 10th October
"Fired Up" a selling exhibition of British Art Pottery c1870 - 1930
This exhibition, organised by AD Antiques, will feature examples of Fine British Art Pottery by factories such as William de Morgan, Martin Brothers, Wedgewood, Doulton, Moorcraft, Della Robbia and Pilkington's Royal Lancastrian.

The Guild of Handicraft Trust Exhibition
A personal account celebrating the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Guild of Handicraft Trust and the creation of Court Barn Museum.


Thursday 28th October, drop in sessions between 11am and 3pm
Children’s workshop – The BIG DRAW

Tuesday 9 November 10.00 - 4pm
Adult workshop - Christmas decorations, cards and gifts using fabrics with Georgina Oldham
Spend a fun day making unique decorations, crackers, cards or small gifts. There will be a selection for you to choose from, most will require some stitching, others are just pinned, so there will be something to suit all capabilities

Lecture – ‘From charitable Trust to Museum. My story of the journey’
Frank Johnson is one of the founder members of The Guild of Handicraft Trust.

Tuesday 16 November 10.00 - 4pm
Adult Workshop – Textile bookwraps with Annette Emms.
We will make an interesting, textured bookwrap to keep a precious book safe. We will use fabric, oiled and printed papers and stitch.

Christmas selling exhibition by the Worcestershire Guild of Craftsmen.

Unless stated otherwise, all events in the programme are held at Court Barn Museum.

At One-on-one events, an informed guide will talk and answer questions about a chosen object in the permanent exhibition at Court Barn. These events last about half an hour.

Seating at Court Barn Museum is limited. To be sure of a seat at lectures, please book in person at Court Barn Museum, or send a cheque and stamped addressed envelope to the Administrator at the address below.
