The Friends aim to provide promotional and financial support to ensure the continued success of the museum, by generating enthusiasm and awareness throughout the north Cotswolds and the wider world.

Saturday 30 March           

Spring Delights. A selling exhibition at Court Barn Museum. 10% discount for Friends on first day.

                                               

Saturday 18 May                

Charles Ashbee’s Birthday.

Social/fundraising activity to celebrate his birthday with a walk/visit to Saintbury Church, following the footsteps of C R Ashbee’s regular walk from Chipping Campden to Saintbury. Meeting outside Court Barn Museum at 10.00am. £5 to include refreshments.

                                               

Thursday 13 June

Visit to Kelmscott Manor. 

Afternoon visit on a non-public day to William Morris and Dante Gabriel Rossetti's Thames-side country retreat. Guided tour followed by a cream tea and ample time to explore the grounds, shop, village and riverside paths. Own transport.

 

Saturday 13 July

Visit to Birmingham.

Private tour of 21 Yateley Road, Edgbaston, a Grade I listed Arts & Crafts house designed and built in1899 by H T Buckland, prominant Birmingham architect, followed by a visit to nearby Winterbourne House & Garden, built in 1904 for the Nettlefold family and now the University of Birmingham Botanic Garden. Sandwich buffet lunch and time to explore the house and garden. Own transport, numbers limited.

 

Monday 14 October

A talk by Barbara Alderton on the life of May Morris. 

To be held in the Court Room of the Old Police Station at 7.30pm. £5 for Friends, Guests £7, payable at the event.

  

Friday 6 December           

Christmas in the Museum.

A chance to meet up with Friends and browse the Christmas Delights Exhibition. 10% discount on the night Refreshments will be served
